Leopold Square is a mixed use development reusing Grade II listed Victorian former School buildings in Sheffield’s regenerating city centre, providing 42 unique private apartments surrounding a private landscaped courtyard, a 90 room four star boutique hotel with conference facilities, and 9 commercial units (A3 use) varying from a small but prominently located piano bar, to a two storey glass and bronze restaurant/bar unit, surrounding a newly formed, tree lined civic square. With clients ASK developments and Gleeson’s Regeneration, AXIS were able to apply a careful balance of historic building restoration and the introduction of bold new design to make this project a key part of the city centre’s successful regeneration.
